Addition Brain Teaser
Description
Addition Brain Teaser turns simple sums into a puzzle that asks you to think a few moves ahead. The board is filled with numbers, and your goal is to combine all of them. The twist is that you cannot merge any two numbers you like: a combination is only allowed when certain conditions are met. You can join two numbers that are the same, such as a pair of fours. You can also join two different numbers if their total already appears somewhere on the board. So if a nine is present, a six and a three may be combined even though they do not match. Spotting which pairs are legal, and in what order to use them, is where the real thinking happens. Play is done by dragging a number onto another one with the mouse or a finger. The school-friendly theme makes it a good fit for children practising addition, while the ordering challenge keeps it interesting for adults too. Runs entirely in your browser; no account needed.

How to play
- 1Look over the numbers on the board and find pairs you are allowed to combine.
- 2Two equal numbers can always be joined together.
- 3Two different numbers can be joined only if their sum is already shown on the board.
- 4Click or touch a number and drag it onto the one you want to add it to, until everything has been combined.
Tips
- Before merging, check whether a number you are about to remove is needed as a target sum for another pair.
- Combining equal numbers early can create new totals that open up further moves.
