Privacy policy

Summary

You can use Game of HTML without an account. We only store the comments you choose to post. Favorites and your play history stay in your own browser. Ads and the game frames may use cookies, and you decide whether ads may be personalised.

Data controller

Game of HTML is run by an independent developer in Türkiye, who is the data controller for the data described here. Contact: (The contact address will be published here shortly.).

Data we collect

Comments: when you post a review we store the name you enter, your comment, your star rating, the game it belongs to and the time. Comments are public on the game page. Please don't include personal information such as your full name, address or phone number.

Technical data: to block spam, our server briefly uses your IP address to limit how many comments, likes and plays can be sent in a short time. This happens in memory and the IP address is not saved to our database. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard access logs for security and operation.

Play and like counters: when you press Play or Like, a counter on that game goes up by one. No personal data is stored with it.

Data stored only on your device

Your favorites, recently played games and the games you liked are saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage). They are never sent to us, and you can delete them on the Favorites page or by clearing your browser data.

We also store a few small cookies for your language choice, your cookie consent choice and your rough region (inside or outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland, used to apply the right consent rules). See the Cookie policy.

Advertising and game frames

Google AdSense may show ads on our pages. Unless you accept personalised ads in the cookie banner, Google is told through Google Consent Mode that ad storage and personalisation are denied. How Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Most games are delivered by GameDistribution inside a frame. GameDistribution and its advertising partners (such as HeaderLift) may set their own cookies and show ads there. We pass your consent choice to the game frame. Their own privacy policies apply to that content.

Where data is stored

Comments are stored in a Supabase database. The website is hosted on Netlify. These providers may process data outside Türkiye, including in the EU and the United States, under their own safeguards.

Why we process data

Comments: to publish them, because you chose to post them. Spam protection and security logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe. Personalised advertising: only with your consent.

How long we keep it

Comments stay online until you ask us to delete them or we remove them for breaking the rules. Rate-limit data disappears within minutes. Hosting logs are kept by Netlify for a limited period.

Your rights (KVKK and GDPR)

Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To delete a comment or make any other request, email (The contact address will be published here shortly.) with the game page, the name you used and the approximate date. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or your local data protection authority.

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Children

Game of HTML is suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents who believe a child has posted personal information can ask us to delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
