Description

Impostor lets you play the villain of a space-crew mystery. A ship drifts through deep space with a crew just trying to make it through the journey, and hidden among them is you: the impostor, quietly working to eliminate everyone on board. The fun comes from playing sneaky. You can lurk in dim corners until someone wanders past, pop out of a vent to surprise a target from behind, or cause trouble by sabotaging the ship. The crew is watchful, though, and the less careless you are, the harder it is for them to figure out who is responsible. It is an easygoing arcade take on the popular social deduction theme, playable solo with simple keyboard movement and a few on-screen action buttons. If you have always wanted to be the one sneaking around rather than the one getting caught, this gives you a lighthearted way to try it. Runs entirely in your browser; no account needed.

How to play

1Walk around the ship with W, A, S and D or the arrow keys.
2Use the action buttons in the bottom right corner of the screen to perform actions.
3Look for crew members who are alone, then strike when no one else is watching.
4Make use of dark spots, vents and sabotage to stay hidden and catch the crew off guard.

Tips

Patience pays off: wait for a quiet moment rather than acting in front of witnesses.
After a successful move, leave the area quickly so you are not found near the scene.
Sabotage can pull crew members apart, giving you better chances to find someone alone.
